Grease thickness inspection.
To work out if your kitchen canopy and ductwork is work at a safe level, We need to carry out a wet film thickness test.
A wet film thickness test determines the thickness level of the built up grease, coating the inside of the kitchen ventilation system.
Safe working limit of grease in canopy and ductwork is below 200 microns.
When the thickness of grease exceeds 500 microns, kitchen ventilation system needs to be cleaned immediately.
The risk of fire increases and the system becomes dangerous.
Insurance companies are insisting you kitchen ventilation is professionally cleaned at least once a year.
But remember, if your kitchen ventilation system build grease quickly, the clean would need to be done as a frequency of cleaning, more cleaning is required in a 12month period.
So your system may need to be cleaned, every 3,6 or 12 months
